Pictures from memory lane

Sally, Calvin, BillThe 35th year reunion was a marvelous success - at least for those of us who attended! Great food at the tailgate party, Iowa Park won the game against Childress (sorry about that, Childress - maybe next year), and the evening at the library was very pleasant. The wine tasting session was fun for those of us who were there.

Ann and Bill, in their brief reignSomebody decided that, since it was a homecoming weekend and all that, that we should have our very own class King and Queen. They had the good sense to not elect them, but to draw names out of a hat, and the lucky winners were Bill Payne and Ann (Huckaby) Foster. The two were given decorative accessories to wear in the bleachers while observing the game - which Iowa Park won, incidentally. Did I already mention that?

Another informal decision: we think we're going to register a domain for the class. Ideas are being considered, such as:

iphs1969.org
IowaPark1969.org

Whatever we do, this page will most likely remain up for a long time, with a link to whatever we come up with. Meantime, we want to share letters from classmates who attended, plus more pictures.

Cindy Walsh took the above two pictures, and has now sent more:

Here are some letters from classmates who attended the reunion:

Dear Classmates,

I would like to thank all of you'll for the wonderful time that I had at the reuion this year. I was not sure if I would go this time but my wife said tha tit was "my kind of thing" and I should go aghead and go and make the best of it. Sure am glad that I did. I had a wonderful time at the football game, (winning made it even better). The get to gether at the library was very nice. Hearing Sally sing and knowing all the work she put into it made it even better. The wine tasting was a blast. I think every one left the winery happy. The banquet served a good meal. The door prizes were unique, ask Mike Mitchell, he won one, and it did not drag out for a long time.

I would like to say "Thank You" to Donna, Barb, and Jerifor all the time and hard work that they put in so we could have some fun and talk about old times.

And I would like to thank all of you for coming to the reunion. I enjoyed seeing and talking to each and every one. I am looking forward to the next reunion in 5 years. I hope that every one of you will plan on returning.

Take care

Calvin
